NOTD

I used a mini Leighton Denny nail polish called 'Steel Appeal' that I received in the final Feel Unique Beauty Box. I was delighted getting this shade, it's the most suitable for me that I have seen from the selection of colours that have been given out. I needed 2-3 coats for an even finish but has lasted really well. I also used O.P.I's 'Metallic 4 Life' from the Nicki Minaj mini range. I really love this polish, quite thick, packed with glitter, only needed one coat, over one coat of Steel Appeal but, even with a thick top coat, I found I started losing glitter fast! A chip appeared at the top of my nail too :( Another moan about it, it's starting to clog around the bottle top making it really hard to open.

(Yes, that is a bite mark on the top of the O.P.I, ridiculous to open)

Also, yesterday was quite eventful, I finally got a tattoo! I LOVE IT! Can't wait for it to heal, thanks so so much Tania, for putting up with me whilst you did the tattoo haha! Thanks rach for your support ;) But this meant I was teaching my swimming lessons with blood all down my ribs yay (ok, there wasn't too much blood). Also yesterday I found out my friend's older brother won the euro millions jackpot, well done to him, VERY jealous though! It's crazy thinking someone you know (well her brother) has actually won the lottery jackpot! xoxo

NOTD + Blog sale

I have seen a few cat inspired nails online and with me being a self-confessed crazy cat lady I thought i would give them a go. I picked pastel base colours and black cats.

These would have worked a million times better if I had a better white nail art pen rather than one i got from a christmas when I was about 12 in my first nail art kit haha! and of course if I had a steadier hand! I know they are pretty shabby but I like having different nails and haven't done and nail art in ages.

I don't know how many of you like blog sales and actually buy from them?! Personally I love them and recently had a clear out and started my own wahey!

NOTD

So, here they are:

They are more NOTW really as I took these photographs 4 days after application, no chips! pretty impressive ;) Although glitter polishes do hold really well. Still so into glitter nails and I love the nude colour, I think it looks so nice matched with this glitter polish too. I used:

  • Models Own - Juicy Jules
  • Models Own - Nyla Nude
These are probably my favourite simple nails xoxo

OPI Muppets - Excuse Moi!

So I bought the mini Muppets OPI set and boy were they miniatures! At first inspection the size of the polishes were disappointing, but when applying 'Excuse Moi!' I decided the sizes were decent because I hardly ever get through the full bottle of polish unless it's trusty black or nude. So size really doesn't matter after all! ;)

The first shade I have tried out is 'Excuse Moi!' which is the pink glitter shade. I love anything pink and anything glittery so this combination for me is genius!

(small bottle really isn't doing anything for my already chubby fingers)

The polish applied really well, this is a glitter polish with only 2 coats and no colour underneath - impressive! There is a variation of glitter pieces, sizes and colours which I love. It was really easy to apply despite my attempt here where it is clearly not perfect! I was in a rush for work as usual. I then used a clear top coat to even the base and to seal all the beautiful glitter :) xoxo

zig-zag

Painted my nails as I bought the new(ish) Barry M gold nail paint!

Not perfect by any means but quite different! :) Were very tricky to paint and my nail art pen is starting to go all gloopy so I had to add nail varnish remover to help make it more 'runny' so it was easier to use.

I used:

OH Mickey, you're so fine

This was my attempt at Mickey Mouse nails! Really easy one to do and got lots of nice comments about them, although these came mainly from 6 year olds at work, but still, a compliment is a compliment! I used Barry M - 134 yellow and the wonderful Models Own nail art pen. xoxo

Bolt nails

Today I tried to be creative, using tape to create a nail art lightening bolt and I would say it was a partial success! Apologies for the lousy image and also my chubby fingers don't really flatter the nail art either! It is fairly obvious I did these nails in a rush plus the colour choice isn't really 'me'.

I used:
- A black 'Models Own' nail art pen (fairly new purchased so still slightly obsessed).
- Red 'Barry M' nail paint in 'bright red' shade 262
-Black 'Models Own' nail paint in 'black magic' shade 045

Tomorrow at some point I will post an outfit or something exciting other than nail art - I promise! I think I am beginning to get the hang of blogging, still feels pretty new and interesting at the moment. xoxo

Leopard Nails

Really getting into nail art right now (well i suppose i need something to fill my lazy days!). I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to achieve a leopard print pattern, i used Barry M shade 306 (pale blue) shade 279 (bright pink) and the new Models Own black nail art pen which i recently bought!

Okay, I have to say, i am new to the whole world of blogging, i feel pretty intimidated if i am being honest! My blog is looking pretty shabby and i am yet to work out how to make it look all pretty, oh well, hopefully i will figure it all out. xoxo
