Quick Buys

Hello! I'm off on a family holiday to Lanzarote in a few days so went shopping the other day to basically tackle this mental shopping list I have and failed miserably haha! I see so much I want when I don't NEED things but when i'm looking for certain things, I suppose it's more of a chore?! Had a nice day shopping anyway and picked up a few bits of make-up, jewellery and leggings etc.And yes! I caved and bought an ear cuff!

The first photo is the ear cuff i finally bought, I do love it but it just falls off my ear at the top?! I'm not sure if there is some sort of knack to making it stay put or whether my ears are not as chubbs as the rest of my face, but i'm a bit annoyed at it! Anyone else having trouble?! I think I am going to have a rummage in the garage later and clamp the ring at the top a bit tighter! I do love it though, £6.50 from toppers. The second, is a photo of an anklet I also bought from topshop, I think it was £5. I love anklets and I know they are summery but my work uniform is shorts and t-shirt so I can show it off daily as I prance around poolside.

I bought this nail polish from River Island for £2.50. It looks more pink in real life and it's gorgeous but not much glitter ends up on your nail per single coat. In the above photo I am wearing Barry M - berry lilac and Barry M silver glitter with about 3 coats of the NYX (169).

Lastly, here is a photograph taken of me and my friend Rach being crazy on a night out on Friday! xoxo

Ear Cuffs

I was in town today with my friend Laura browsing a few shops after a delicious meal in Slug and Lettuce and stumbled across a few ear cuffs in Topshop and was really tempted to buy one. I particularly like the cuffs with the chains joined to an earring, giving you a stud for the ear lobe and a cuff for the top of your ear. I have seen a few mentions of ear cuffs on other blogs and I think they can look really good but I'm not sure if I would be able to pull one off! One of my ears has about a million piercings already anyway, don't want it to be a bit of an overkill! Anyway, here are a few that I have spotted online.
1. A Peace Treaty
2. River Island
3. Topshop
4. Amazon
5. Asos

Asos also have some ear cuffs where on section attaches to your ear and the other, your hair! Too far?! I think so haha! They do look nice on the models but in real life, I know I would end up in a right mess with a chain attached to my hair! Going back into town on Friday for some proper shopping before work and I think I will pick an ear cuff up from Topshop, they had some really nice ones in store that aren't online yet. What do you think of ear cuffs? Have you ever tried any? xoxo

NOTD

I used a mini Leighton Denny nail polish called 'Steel Appeal' that I received in the final Feel Unique Beauty Box. I was delighted getting this shade, it's the most suitable for me that I have seen from the selection of colours that have been given out. I needed 2-3 coats for an even finish but has lasted really well. I also used O.P.I's 'Metallic 4 Life' from the Nicki Minaj mini range. I really love this polish, quite thick, packed with glitter, only needed one coat, over one coat of Steel Appeal but, even with a thick top coat, I found I started losing glitter fast! A chip appeared at the top of my nail too :( Another moan about it, it's starting to clog around the bottle top making it really hard to open.

(Yes, that is a bite mark on the top of the O.P.I, ridiculous to open)

Also, yesterday was quite eventful, I finally got a tattoo! I LOVE IT! Can't wait for it to heal, thanks so so much Tania, for putting up with me whilst you did the tattoo haha! Thanks rach for your support ;) But this meant I was teaching my swimming lessons with blood all down my ribs yay (ok, there wasn't too much blood). Also yesterday I found out my friend's older brother won the euro millions jackpot, well done to him, VERY jealous though! It's crazy thinking someone you know (well her brother) has actually won the lottery jackpot! xoxo

January Empties

I had a few more 'empties' this month but threw them away without thinking! This is my first 'empties of the month' post, I have read a few and enjoyed reading them so thought I would do my own! This is my first post in a while actually, I have been a bit lazy recently and working LOADS!
1. Nivea Happy Time body lotion 250ml
2. Gucci Envy Me EDT 30ml
3. Lee Stafford sea salt spray 150ml
4. Bourjois Volumizer mascara 7ml
5. TIGI cherry almond hairspray 250ml

Nivea Happy Time body lotion
This body lotion states it gives a feel good sensation, i'm not sure about that, but it smell b-e-a-uuutiful! This is a really moisturising lotion, nivea is never a let down for moisture! I love body lotion and get through buckets, this is one of my favourites by far, maybe actually my favourite. I think the fact it smells so good means i apply it when i don't need to but I can't resist, its amazing! Anyway, whilst writing that past sentence I have decided it IS my favourite body lotion at the minute, can't sing its praises enough!
Score: 5/5
Repurchase: YES.

Gucci Envy Me EDT
My Dad actually bought this a while ago, after a trip to France which was a very nice surprise! This has quite a floral smell, is very feminine, and I would maybe even say posh?! I think the bottle is amazing and I won't be throwing it away haha! I really enjoyed using this perfume but there are so many others I want at the moment too, so I would like to buy it again but its going to have to go on my list and wait a while. The only thing I can say with a negative spin, is that I wish I had a larger bottle and I wish perfume wasn't so expensive :(
Score: 5/5
Repurchase: Yes, but not in the near future.

Lee Stafford sea salt spray
Very disappointed with you. The only reason I used the whole bottle is because it smelt so good. I know this is supposed to give a 'beachy effect' so my hair was supposed to look a bit dryer and more wavy but all it did was dry out my hair, make it crispy (yum..) and make it look frizzy. This product did nothing for me, it's horrible! I do quite like the packaging though, I am pretty much obsessed, quite like the writing on the bottle, even if it lies...
Score: 1/5
Repurchase: No.

Bourjois Volumizer Mascara
As you can see, this has got quite worn in my make-up bag! It is a 2 step mascara, step 1 giving you bold, defined lashes, paired with step 2, the second brush, giving you maximum volume. I really like this mascara, it applied clump free every time, didn't clog and lasted ages on my eyes. Not really got anything bad to say except I wish it was cheaper than £10.49!
Score: 4/5
Repurchase: Yes.

TIGI Firm Hold Hair Spray
This is a hairspray from TIGI's 'Love Peace & the Planet' range and I love it! I bought it from TKmaxx for about £5. It is cherry almond scented and smells just like Amaretto, which could possibly put some people off, but personally, I think it's great! The hairspray itself is red/pink in colour but doesn't show in the hair, It is quite heave and a bit sticky for a minute or so but when it dries it holds really well and smells gorgeous for ages too!
Score: 4/5
Repurchase: Yes, if it pops up in TKmaxx again!

My graze box has just arrived, I hope its got pistachio nut in it, they are so so yummy. Im thinking of cancelling my subscription to graze actually, it is fun but I have tried everything I wanted to now and the only thing I get particularly excited by now are pistachios and 'florentine' which is pumpkin seeds, dark chocolate and cranberries and when I don't get them I feel disappointed! I may aswell buy a bag of pistachios and make my own 'florentine' and save money and get more food, but wheres the fun in that?! I don't know, I will think about it for a while xoxo
